This tree was inspired by both colours from Arizona and from Tuscany in the fall. I had been painting some Tuscan pictures at the time

This is the second of a series of small paintings of aspen trees as seen from the Verde Canyon Railway.

This again has the colours of Arizona but I tried to show how suburbia is constantly encroaching on the countryside.

This was the first painting I made using the colours I had seen on my first visit to Arizona in the fall of 2005.
